Hello, I’m Sarah Khan!
Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Toronto
Currently in my final year of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto, specializing in Mechatronics and Manufacturing with a double minor in Engineering Business and Advanced Manufacturing.
I’ve just completed a 16-month work term at Honda of Canada Mfg. as a Mechatronics Engineering Intern within the CR-V Paint Department. I was able to learn about industrial manufacturing first-hand from some of the best minds in the industry, and was given an immense amount of responsibility as an intern. I excel in challenging environments and was able to go above and beyond in my work – eventually managing a large scale automation project in my final quarter. I’m excited to explore the manufacturing space further after I graduate in April 2024.
I want to learn everything I can about Mechatronics and uncover new and exciting ways it can be implemented within the economy. The days when purely mechanical subsystems were the status quo are gone. In this digital age, the harmony of mechanical and electronic is stronger than ever, and I can only see the bond growing with the passage of time.
When I’m not in lecture, I’m working on my Capstone project alongside the Ministry of Labor, watching the Formula 1 races on the weekends, or grabbing a coffee on my way to a library!
Speaking of coffee, I’m always up for a virtual coffee chat! Feel free to reach out to learn more about my goals and aspirations, or just my coffee order!
